Elixir of the Goddess

This elixir comes from the Cacao Goddess herself.

While undergoing a shamanic journey during a cacao ceremony, she appeared to me from amongst the trees, deep in the jungle. She placed blooming flowers in my hands - a hot pink hibiscus and a red rose, cinnamon and damiana.

This is your medicine, she said. Open your heart. Open yourself. Heal yourself.

Cacao is wonderful medicine for the heart, physically and spiritually and is a natural mood and energy booster -- and aphrodisiac. The Incas considered it the drink of gods. Vibrationally, Cacao is a powerful facilitator, teacher and guide. Connected to the heart chakra, it heals emotionally, mentally and spiritually and enhances connection with Higher Self and spiritual realms. Damiana is a warming plant that invites the mind to relax and go with the flow. It helps those that are too "in their head" to re-establish a connection with their more sensual side. Damiana has been used to relieve anxiety, nervousness, and mild depression, especially if these symptoms have a sexual component. The plant is also used as a general tonic to improve wellness by enhancing the flow of oxygen in the blood. Roses offer powerful medicine for a multitude of uses, including decreasing both emotional and physical pain. Roses are not only a universal symbol of love, but also a natural aphrodisiac. According to Ayurveda, rose petals are very effective in this realm by acting on two essential doshas in our body, which in turn regulate heart, mind and the nervous system. Hibiscus is a passion-inducing flower enhances your self confidence and personal power. It increases your feelings of self-worth, helping you to know what you want and feel comfortable asking for it (or, demanding it!). Cinnamon is known to have positive effects on blood sugar levels, digestion, immunity, and the menstrual cycle. Vibrationally, it is associated with the element of fire and the sun, and aids in protection, prosperity and luck. Because of its hot, fiery nature, cinnamon is also a natural ally for love and sex magic.
